At first glance, the words seem to contradict each other—winter represents ice and snow, while heat symbolizes fire and intensity. That contrast became the driving force behind this custom event logo, where blazing flames collide with frozen ice to create a dramatic design that perfectly captures the energy of championship softball.
Created for Winter Heat 2027, sponsored by Portolite and hosted at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex, this custom vector logo combines explosive athletic action with seasonal elements to create a tournament identity that immediately grabs attention. Every illustration was created from scratch in Adobe Illustrator as scalable vector artwork, making it ideal for tournament apparel, banners, event signage, merchandise, digital marketing, and promotional materials.
Rather than choosing either fire or ice, we challenged ourselves to bring both worlds together in one unforgettable composition.
The Concept: Fire Meets Ice
The tournament name itself provided the creative direction.
How do you visually represent Winter Heat?
Instead of separating winter and heat into different parts of the logo, we allowed them to collide throughout the artwork.
The result is an intense visual battle where blazing flames erupt through massive ice formations, symbolizing athletes competing at the highest level despite freezing winter conditions.
This contrast immediately makes the design memorable because it tells a story before anyone even reads the event title.
Two Athletes, One Championship
To showcase the complete game of softball, the composition features two dynamic athletes.
The Pitcher
Dominating the upper portion of the artwork is a powerful softball pitcher captured at the moment of release.
